Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF)
Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF) is the professional union of wrestling associations formed to bring together the affiliated wrestling groups and qualified players.
The sole aim of this association is to organize and administer wrestling sport, notably through competitions at national and international levels. NWF has conducted many competitions at the national level to train solid and energetic Nigerian youths to represent the country at international championships.
The federation was formed during the regime of the then president, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, and was further inaugurated on the 27th day of September 1981.
